Pick your level

Each level is defined by what a published beginner plan asks of you, not by a guess about your pace.

How we're different

  • Picked for your level

Every pick carries level badges — C25K, 10K, HALF, MARATHON — tied to what a published training plan actually asks of you. A great marathon race shoe can be the wrong buy for week one of Couch to 5K.

  • A job for every shoe

Daily trainer, tempo, race day, recovery, stability: we say which job a shoe does in your week, so you buy the pair your training needs instead of the one with the loudest launch.

  • Specs with receipts

Stack height, drop, weight, plate, widths: every figure on a product card links to the maker's page or the named reviewer's published measurement. If it isn't published, we say so.

  • Live prices, current models

Every price comes straight from Amazon's own API with the date it was checked, so you buy on today's number. Every pick is a real, currently sold model, and the rubric that ranks everything is public.

How this site is funded

As an Amazon Associate, Pace & Pavement earns from qualifying purchases. When you buy through one of our links we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. That money never decides a ranking: the rubric does, and it's published. We don't take paid placements or free products.
